Customer Love

Traditional handwritten thank you cards have disappeared in today’s digital world.  In the busy everyday hustle and bustle we can only manage to send a quick thank you email (which are much appreciated as well) but when we received Root Capital’s card with goodies we were delighted.  We’d like to share Root Capital’s love letter to WebDAM with you too.  Thank you Rosie, Emily and the Root Capital Communications Dept!

What’s New in WebDAM: Download Request

A powerful component of digital asset management is controlling who and when your digital assets are used. With WebDAM, the system administrator has the ability to control this through setting up different permission levels for users and user groups. The administrator manages who can download and who can only view an asset. We are excited to announce an enhancement to this function…the download request feature!

With the new download request feature, administrators no longer have to choose between giving their users the ability to download or only view an asset. Now, they can alternatively choose to give users an opportunity to request a download right from the system!

Introducing Asset Expiration: Digital Asset Management for Rights Managed Images

It is no secret that marketing and communication teams often purchase images from stock websites such as Getty and Corbis.  But what may surprise you is that not all purchased images can be freely used.  Images are often purchased under a rights managed license which specifies how an image can be used and for what length of time.  Although this information is critical, it is often lost as the image gets handed from designer, to marketing to web team, eventually creeping back into a campaign years later.  WebDAM is now here to help prevent this type of infringement.  Introducing Asset Expiration.

Do You Have a Customer Success Manager???

We are very excited to introduce our new Customer Success Manager, Leigh Ann Ledford!

Leigh Ann comes to us with years of experience in magazine publishing, on both the editorial and advertising side. She has worked with several magazines on developing workflows and content management best practices. As the Managing Editor of American Photo magazine, she gained a thorough understanding of photographers’ challenges in the digital world, managing large volumes of digital content.

We recently sat down with Leigh Ann to chat about her new role, and what customer success means to her. Below are some excerpts from the interview.
